▸ In a sad turn of events during last night's activities, local teenager Bela Gage was found dead at Gainsbourg Resort as festivities were wrapping up. Local authorities have opened up an investigation regarding the circumstances around her death.

▸ Several houses were egged in height of last night's events. Locals are offering a small reward to anyone with information that may lead to identification of the culprits.

▸ Now for the weather, expect light showers from late morning to mid afternoon. Blackwell is expecting the storm to keep rolling through overnight, so drive safe!

[ not when the light rain sprays on your face it doesn't. he follows her example, but he doesn't have a hood so he just pulls up the collar. ]

Yeah, the driver said she came from the right.

[ looks around, trying to think how she ended up there. it's quite a walk from Blackwell. ]

The witness described her as "upset looking I mean like someone that's about to kill themselves but she wasn't doing anything weird".

[ carefully walking along the gravel edge of the road, looking off into the woods. ]

These woods lead to the eastern bank of the lake, right? Anything over here? Like private lodges or anything like that.

Not much. There used to be a lumber town, but it's been abandoned for a long time. I've heard it's not a pretty place or anything so I doubt people would want to go there for holiday.

[ has to pause when a large truck drives past them, making a loud noise and splashing water everywhere. his coat flaps in the fit of wind it created. ]

... But there are still buildings standing there. She could have found somewhere to stay.

[ the girl was gone for almost four months. she needed a roof over her head. ]

[ skitters out of the way before she gets puddle boots. looking out again and back at him a little confused. that kind of information would bring her to a different conclusion. ]

What makes you so sure she was a runaway?

[ shrugs. he's open to anything at this point. they're investigating a suicide. ]

That or the person holding her captive needed a roof.

Her remains are still being picked apart so really there's no one way or the other. But she still came from somewhere for some reason.

[ and she's gonna figure that out. by looking around. ]

[ she's already beginning to realize she's wasting time on him so she soldiers on quietly, keeping an eye out for anything that may have been overlooked. the girl left a trail somewhere, it's just the matter of finding it before the rain washes it away. ]

[ walks over to her and pockets his hands. ]

Yeah, that's not Kara's footprint. Unless she had way bigger feet than teenager girls usually do.
