▸ In a sad turn of events during last night's activities, local teenager Bela Gage was found dead at Gainsbourg Resort as festivities were wrapping up. Local authorities have opened up an investigation regarding the circumstances around her death.

▸ Several houses were egged in height of last night's events. Locals are offering a small reward to anyone with information that may lead to identification of the culprits.

▸ Now for the weather, expect light showers from late morning to mid afternoon. Blackwell is expecting the storm to keep rolling through overnight, so drive safe!

she reaches for the coffee table for the snacks, just to sooth her grumbling stomach that's responding to that wonderful potpie scent, and chews on one of them while getting the dvd all set up ]

Totally for you. [ a little for her. she's going to keep in mind that sophie will leave the keys out for her. any place is better than her place, let's be real. besides, it'll give her an excuse to make something big for dinner-- sophie'll love coming home to that.

isabella plops down onto the couch bed and forks at the pot pie, putting some into her mouth. she waves at her open mouth-- hot! there's a reluctant swallow and she opens up a can of soda to wash it down before speaking. ]

Uh, he's a Vaughn. Ben? He kind of stalked me at work and then asked me out at the Halloween party.

[ she definitely will and possibly cry a little that for once it doesn't smell like instant noodles during dinner time and actual food.

once izzy gets settled, sophie drags the tray a bit closer just so she can reach it better. she flops closer to her, laying her head on her lap while turning the dvd on, but only half paying attention to what she's doing and listening to her best friend instead. she looks up to her mid choosing the screen and snorts ]

Gross. [ she turns her head back to the tv ] What did you say?

I said yes, duh. [ she shoves a forkful of pot pie into her mouth, her free hand lightly combing through sophie's hair. isabella sets the fork back down and leans back. ] I mean, I don't really see my gender of choice lining up to ask me out. But the attention is kinda nice. That's not bad, is it?

[ she knows it's bad. ]

[ that feels nice and she gets all comfortable, like a cat nesting. yep.

she's not expecting that answer and though her eyes are on the tv, her eyebrows raise and she scoffs, in amused surprised. ] It's kinda bad. [ but it's free of judgement and more playful mocking. oh izzy you're such a mess but it's okay. sophie will gather you up and protect you from harm. or so she wants to ]

Well, yeah. [ there's a pause there. ] I mean, so far he is. [ she scratches the back of her neck before returning her hand to sophie's hair. ]

I won't do anything with him. I'll just let him googly eye me and buy me coffee. It's a confidence booster. [ isabella nods. it's as if she's trying to justify it to herself but even she knows better than this. ]
