▸ In a sad turn of events during last night's activities, local teenager Bela Gage was found dead at Gainsbourg Resort as festivities were wrapping up. Local authorities have opened up an investigation regarding the circumstances around her death.

▸ Several houses were egged in height of last night's events. Locals are offering a small reward to anyone with information that may lead to identification of the culprits.

▸ Now for the weather, expect light showers from late morning to mid afternoon. Blackwell is expecting the storm to keep rolling through overnight, so drive safe!

I don't know. I like romantic comedies, especially if Katherine Heigl is in them, and singing along to Lady Antebellum.

Really? You must introduce me to one of them. I can take almost any movie as long as they don't last over two hours.

[ and there's explosions. ]

... You've never seen a rom-com? Aren't you supposed to be some sort of ladies man or something?

Whatever gave you that idea?

[ it's kind of flattering. ]

[singlestrand]

It's just the vibe you're trying to give off. That you're this suave guy. [ she watches him for a moment, continuing to tap her fingers on her cup. ] But it's not working, obviously. Never seen a romantic comedy, asking the boring, basic date questions. [ izzy clicks her tongue against her teeth while shaking her head. ]

[eternalboy]

Ohh. [ that hurts. ] I give off the vibe that I'm "trying"? [ shakes his head. ] I might as well go die now.

[ stands up and takes his coat. ]

[singlestrand]

[ she raises her eyebrows at him. ]

Oh come on, you're not seriously upset, are you? I'm just trying to get you to relax. Surely you're more exciting than trying to impress me with your bike and probing for information over coffee.

[ izzy leans back in her chair, keeping her coffee on the table. she lets out a laugh. ]

What one celebrity would you hate to see naked?

Glad you said that. It would have been really embarrassing to pretend to leave if you hadn't said anything.

[ drops the coat back on the bench and sits down, leaning on the table. not gonna go anywhere now. ]

If I tell you, you promise you won't google their nudes?

[singlestrand]

I promise. I'll even share mine so you can't try to get me back, too.

[ she rocks her chair back and forth, teetering dangerously on two of its four legs. ]

[ sighs like it's a big secret. ]

I mean I can watch Terminator alright, but now that he's older... I'd hate to see what's happened down there.

[singlestrand]

Aw, he looks pretty fit, though. I'm sure he's absolutely fine down there. He kept it up as governor, right?

[ right? it's tempting to find out, but she made a promise. ]

Mine is Christopher Walken. For understood reasons, I hope.

[ tries not to imagine either. ]

So that's your interesting date question? Really?

I've got plenty more questions, plenty more ideas for dates besides a boring ol' coffee shop. I used to be the life of the party back in New York, you know.

[ until the evil queen broke her heart and turned her into a lame shell of a woman that forced her back to west virginia. a tragic story. ]

Everyone's favorite part of me used to be my tongue.

I've heard they are a tough crowd over there. My expectations are pretty high now.

[ but so far he's more than impressed. she's great!! like just now. wowow. he laughs. ]

Did you ask around or did they offer the information because they felt like it?

They offered. [ she winks at him. ] Come on, I wouldn't have an ego that big unless people regularly told me how spectacular I was.

I've only gotten compliments on my ass and that never happened with me. Maybe it's different when you're complemented in New York.

[singlestrand]

Wait-- [ the front legs of her chair fall to the floor and she sets her hands on the table. ] You have an ass?

[eternalboy]

Apparently not by your standards.

[ it's a nice lil butt. excuse u. gives her foot a gentle kick under the table. ]

But I'm happy with it.

[singlestrand]

[ she moves her foot away. hey! ]

I'll make sure to get a better look at it on our way out.

It gets dark early these days. That's something I remember back from my Elkins days.

There's still a handful of hours left until the early darkness. How are you going to keep this going? [ her coffee is gone. she scoots her chair to the side a little to gauge the distance between the table and the trash receptacle. ] Your turn to ask a question if that's the route you want to go.
