leans out of the kitchen when the front door opens, squinting at ben across the sparsely furnished space]
And what time do you call this, young man?
[that's definitely what ben was wearing yesterday.
it smells a little bit like sam lit the kitchen on fire, but he's just microwaving instant coffee. it's awful.]
no subject
What's that smell? Is it part of your diet?
[ maybe Sam's one of those people who boil seaweed for lunch. shrugs his coat off and walks through to the kitchen, it's so sparsely furnished that his footsteps echo, and takes a seat at the table. he was supposed to change and go but there's still time. ]
Me and Izzy went clubbing.
[ you kind of asked. and he's in a WONDERFUL mood can you tell. ]

Chew, 10 am to 4 pm ;)
this one!
she was trying incredibly hard to keep up the sunny disposition for better tips, but if she screwed up a little-- forgive her. her bottle of aspirin occasionally jingled in her little apron. at least she looked fabulous with last night's eyeliner turning into today's smokey eye and the disheveled hair look was totally still in, right? yeah.
isabella tucks some of that messy hair behind her ear as she approaches the next table. ]
no subject
[hello. holds coffee cup up to her for a refill. she has been here for a while but she reseated herself to isabella's section surreptitiously. what.]

There are twenty different restaurants in a one mile radius of here and you chose this one. You're really something.

so she's here instead. she showed up with a few bags of cans an hour ago and she's been helping to sort things since. nothing like tragedy to bring out the generosity in people, and blackwell's having plenty of tragedy.]

These are all yours.
[ it's the information on which part of the lake the body was found, at what time and how deep. it just came in and someone gave it to him thinking he would have use for it. well he might, that's why it's a copy. ]
no subject
You're the errand boy now? [ makes sense to him.
takes the files and slaps it on the pile. there are a couple of gruesome pictures of bela's body and close ups of the symbols ]

late night, gage residence
sophie had spent the morning and early afternoon clearing out bela's bedroom. it was empty. her belongings were now stored in the attic--bed and all--where they never would have to be seen again if she so wished. while sophie was cleaning, something darla didn't want to witness (at all), darla spent her time shopping for something to fill the future bare space with.
she bought a desk, a chair and a lamp. which she had just set up, the tools necessary laying on the floor beside her. and a large bulletin board that now almost completely covered one of the walls.
darla currently had two pictures pinned to it, one she had stolen from adam's stash on the kitchen table a few days previous.
a picture of bela atop the car in that foreign white dress, the sight of blood beginning to peak from it. and a crude drawing of the symbol that she had done herself. ]
rainbow lanes bowling alley, 4:30 pm
because that's the adjective she was using these days. what else could explain the trouble she was getting herself into?
oh, a ball! isabella hopped up from the bench and begins to walk toward the front of the building to collect a ball from one of the racks. ]
no subject
her little umbrella is drenched and she shakes it out at the entrance, while looking over her shoulder. she spots izzy and gets herself a pair of shoes before walking over her. ]
Hey! [ she doesn't need to address her being late. it's just sophie being sophie. her stuff is dropped unceremoniously on the bench ] Did you get the nachos yet?
no subject
I want a beer too. I don't know if you're up for drinking but I want to be so drunk my body shuts down and you have to attend my funeral in the morning.
